Slime Out Fish Updates
Patch notes for the Weather System and ongoing Scale the Deeps improvements.
This Updates Hub tracks major Slime Out Fish patches on Roblox (Scale Slimy Fish by Scale the Deeps). The experience launched in June 2026 as a catch-scrape-feed fishing tycoon; the June More Fish branding wave expanded the species pool, and the July 2026 Weather System update is the landmark systems drop that reshaped daily play. Use this page for the high-level changelog, then open deep dives when you need reward lists or weather tactics.
For live freebies tied to patch marketing, keep the Codes Hub open in another tab. For session planning after a patch, jump to weather events and the rest of the Guides Hub.
Early wave: More Fish (June 2026)
Under Scale Slimy Fish [🐟More Fish!] branding, Scale the Deeps marketed a wider catchable pool and shipped how-to content that often bundled codes. A complete official species-addition changelog was not publicly published—see the More Fish update for verified context and the Fish Index guide for named examples instead of invented bestiary tables.
Headline update: Weather System (July 2026)
Scale the Deeps shipped a full weather layer with:
- Four featured weather types called out in the official event copy, plus the broader rotation players see in-game (Sunny, Night, Aurora, Rainy, Thunder, Meteor).
- Weather-exclusive fish (about a dozen listed at launch) that appear far more often in matching weather fishing zones.
- Thunder Siam turn-ins that convert weather fish into Starlight, the event currency for cosmetics and boosters.
- Reward track goodies: rod skins, knife skins, a pet skin, titles, rod skin gacha tickets, potions, and totems.
- Rod enchanting and a dedicated skin shop for cosmetics that do not replace raw rod stats.
- World polish, console support, and private servers for quieter grinding.
Read the full breakdown on the Weather System update page, including how zones spike exclusive fish odds while a matching sky is active.
What changed for everyday players
Before weather, progression was mostly linear: catch slimy fish, scrape scales with a knife, feed animals for Cash, buy better rods and knives. After the update, the sky itself became a DPS cooldown. Rainy and Thunder raise server luck; Aurora and Meteor boost mutated fish; Thunder and Meteor also spawn weather fish you should prioritize over ordinary scrapes when timers are short.
That means patch-aware players:
- Watch the weather timer (bottom-right / top timer UI depending on build).
- Hold Luck Potion II and Lucky Totems for Aurora, Thunder, or Meteor.
- Route weather fish to Thunder Siam before the event ends.
- Spend Starlight on long-term skins, titles, potions, and totems instead of panic-rolling every ticket the first night.
Codes released around the weather launch (weather, later seasonal strings) feed that loop—see active codes.

Weather events and zones
Special fishing zones appear during matching weather, raising the chance to land exclusive fish. Standing in the wrong water still works, but event zones are where index completion happens fastest. Full effect tables live in the weather events guide.
Starlight and Thunder Siam
Thunder Siam stands toward the map center. Hand in weather fish to earn Starlight, level the NPC relationship track, and unlock more of the weather shop. Meteor weather fish are especially valuable per catch; Thunder spawns more fish per window. Choose based on whether you need volume or peak Starlight per fish.
Cosmetics and enchanting
Rod skins and knife skins are the headline flex rewards. Enchanting adds another upgrade axis on top of base rod purchases—budget Cash for stats first, Starlight for cosmetics and event boosters second, unless a skin gacha ticket is about to expire unused.
Console support and private servers
Controller players can join the scrape loop without relying on touch or mouse only. Private servers help creators film guides, test scrape timings, or run calm Meteor sessions without six-player dock congestion. Neither feature replaces gear progression, but both reduce friction after the content drop.
How we organize patch notes
- Hub (this page): Narrative summary and links.
- Child pages: One major update per article—More Fish update and Weather System update.
- Guides: Evergreen tactics that survive minor hotfixes—weather farming, Cash routing, beginner onboarding.
- Codes: Time-sensitive strings that often drop with patch marketing.
When a hotfix only tweaks luck multipliers or shop prices, we note it inside the parent update article instead of flooding the nav with tiny entries.
Post-weather priorities checklist
- Redeem any new codes on the Codes Hub.
- Skim the Weather System update reward list so you know what Starlight buys.
- Practice one full Thunder or Meteor cycle using the weather events guide.
- Rebalance rod vs knife spending with the tier list—scrape speed must keep up with luck spikes.
- Only then consider automation risks on the Scripts Hub if you still want AFK tools.
